Behaviour Support

When you are unable to communicate easily or are misunderstood, behaviour becomes a way of communicating. We can help with prepare you for school, work or other social activities, by assisting in the development of communication and social skills – building your mental health, flexibility and resilience.

ClearSky can make a difference for you by performing a functional behavioural assessment, develop an interim or comprehensive positive behaviour support plan (PBSP), develop strategies to reduce the need for challenging behaviour, and help with formal and informal support training.

Psychology

Our psychologists can help by providing counselling and support when you are faced with difficult and distressing times. Psychologists can also assist with the development of positive behaviour support.

At ClearSky, we work alongside you to provide guidance for managing stress, anger, anxiety, or depression; build emotional insight and regulation strategies; improve relationships and social skills; strengthen confidence and motivation through meaningful goal setting; and develop problem-solving skills to navigate life’s challenges. All with the aim of supporting clients in reaching their personal goals.

Social Work

We understand that disability can bring a lot of challenges, not just for you, but also for your loved ones. We’ll provide you with the resources and guidance – including information on transportation, funding for medical devices, and changes to the home environment – to navigate this new chapter in your life.

ClearSky can make a difference by providing support and counselling for you and your unpaid caregivers, offering advice on benefits, entitlements and finances, and conducting psychosocial assessments to understand how illness or disability impacts your life. We support you through life changes with adjustment counselling, help you access community services and assessments, and can arrange psychosexual counselling where needed. ClearSky develops individualised plans with a multidisciplinary team, to help you engage with Centrelink, housing and the NDIS through experienced system navigators.

Speech Pathology

Speech therapy helps you to enhance and improve your communication – including understanding instructions and directions from others and working on speech and voice abilities. It can also help if you have difficulty with swallowing.

At ClearSky, we tailor our approach to your individual needs, offer comprehensive communication and swallowing assessments, as well as providing guidance for safe and enjoyable mealtimes. We also offer training for communication partners to ensure you’re supported in your everyday environments. Whether you’re navigating significant life transitions or exploring alternative communication methods like sign language, visual tools, or high-tech devices, our team is here to help you connect, express yourself, and thrive.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy enables you to participate in activities that you find meaningful. These activities can include taking care of yourself or others, working, volunteering, and participating in hobbies, interests, and social events.

ClearSky can make a meaningful difference by providing tailored support through comprehensive functional assessments. We help you build practical skills for daily living, community participation, and employment readiness. Our team also conducts NDIS accommodation assessments, including Living Options (ILO), Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) assessments.

We support access to assistive technologies, from low-cost tools to complex systems, and carry out minor home modifications to enhance safety and accessibility. Where needed, we offer expert manual handling assessments and training to support safe mobility and care.

Physiotherapy

Our physiotherapy services support adults, teens and children. We work collaboratively with you, your family, school, work, and support networks to deliver positive outcomes throughout all of life’s phases.   

Our child-led services support children’s growth, development, and recovery from injury or illness. ClearSky’s engaging physiotherapy helps your child improve motor skills, strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination skills supporting them to participate at home, school and in their community.   

Our adults and teen physiotherapy services empower you to reach your personal goals, whether that’s regaining independence after injury, managing ongoing health conditions, or striving for greater physical confidence in daily life, ClearSky’s experienced and dedicated team of physiotherapist are here to support you.  

Counselling

At ClearSky, we believe counselling isn’t just for times of crisis, it is an effective tool for everyday growth, emotional wellbeing, and connection. Our counselling services provide a safe and neurodiverse-affirming space for individuals of all ages, to explore their emotions, build resilience, and strengthen self-awareness. With a focus on capacity building, emotional regulation, and meaningful relationships, each session is tailored, respectful, and grounded in evidence-informed, ethical practice.

Exercise Physiology

At ClearSky Allied Health, we are dedicated to empowering you with the skills you need to move with strengthpurpose and motivationOur Exercise Physiologists use gentle, structured movement to build your skills across all aspects of daily life, through tailored programs. Each program is thoughtfully developed to improve mood, boost motivation and energy, and help establish healthy routines. Through safe, guided physical activity, we support you to build confidence, enhance body awareness, and reduce symptoms, supporting both your mind and body through movement.

Sandra

Senior Manager, Allied Health & Principal Occupational Therapist

Sandra is a skilled Occupational Therapist with 30 years of practice experience in South Australia and Queensland. Sandra’s main areas of interest include mental health, physical (neurological) rehabilitation and working with people across all ages to meet their goals. Sandra has been working in the NDIS sector since 2017 and is a certified CO-OP practitioner. She has also enjoyed working in the aged care sector in her earlier career. Sandra considers herself a Generalist Specialist in Occupational Therapy and particularly enjoys working with other clinicians and providing supervision support. Sandra finds her current role as Senior Manager of Allied Health of a skilled multi-disciplinary team to be the most rewarding part of her job. 

Sandra loves to learn, so after many years out of formal study, she has also completed her Graduate Certificate in Mental Health through Southern Cross University. In her spare time, Sandra loves playing the piano, running with her dog, and cooking.

Dylan

Occupational Therapist

Based in our Gold Coast office, Dylan holds a bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy and is committed to delivering ethical, evidence-based, and person-centred therapy. He strives to ensure each individual feels genuinely understood and supported, tailoring interventions to meet their unique goals and circumstances.

Maddy

Occupational Therapist

Located in our Gold Coast office, Maddy holds a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy and a Diploma in Health Science. Maddy utilises a top-down, client-centred approach to support clients live their best lives. Maddy enjoys prescribing all types of assistive technology and loves finding and trialling new equipment to find the right fit for her clients.

“I have experience in community OT from paediatrics to palliative care; however, I am passionate about supporting young adults through to geriatric clients with a range of disabilities and medical conditions. I have experience in NDIS and My Aged Care and take pride in making my clients feel comfortable and heard through my patient, kind and thoughtful manner.”

Jessica

Occupational Therapist

Jessica is an engaging and passionate Occupational Therapist who holds a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy and Diploma Health Science. Jessica strives to ensure each client feels understood and supported through tailored interventions that address their unique needs and goals.

Possessing diverse experience across aged care, community-based adult services, and paediatrics, including the facilitation of social group programs across various life stages Jessica has a particular interest in early intervention and in supporting the mental health of adolescents, particularly in the context of childhood development within today’s technology-driven society.

Niala

Occupational Therapist

With a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Science and a Master’s of Occupational Therapy, Niala brings a strong foundation of knowledge and a deep passion for supporting others on their journey to better health.

Niala has a long history of volunteering and a natural ability to connect with people. She especially loves working with kids, teenagers, and young adults, helping them feel understood, supported, and empowered. Her warm and approachable nature creates a safe, relaxed environment where clients can feel comfortable being themselves. At the heart of her approach is a genuine desire to be a helping hand—someone who walks alongside each client, encouraging them to build confidence, independence, and new skills.

Tenzin

Occupational Therapist

Tenzin is a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor’s of Occupational Therapy (Honours). He is passionate about providing a client-centred collaborative approach, tailoring interventions to meet each individual’s unique needs and goals, and working closely with families, caregivers, and stakeholders to ensure a supportive and effective therapeutic process.

Tenzin has experience with various ages but with a passion for paediatrics and early adults with emotional regulation and social skills development. Working with a broad range of participants Tenzin has had experience with working with individuals diagnosed with ASD, FASD, GDD, trauma-based delays, ADHD, Gene disorders and intellectual disabilities.

Dhiya

Senior Occupational Therapist & Team Leader

An experienced Senior Occupational Therapist, Dhiya holds a Master’s in Applied Neurosciences and a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy. Possessing strong clinical skills in supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism, ADHD, and developmental delays, Dhiya is experienced in delivering goal-oriented therapy sessions, conducting functional capacity assessments, and writing detailed reports to support NDIS and clinical planning.

Passionate about research and mentorship, Dhiya is experienced in clinical supervision, supporting junior therapists and students with professional growth and reflective practice.

Tasneem Arend – Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist

Tasneem holds a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy (honours) and has been practising since 2018. Tasneem’s clinical interest has been working with paediatric clients and supporting their families across different settings in South Africa and in Australia. Although Tasneem’s special interest has been with in paediatrics, she has worked across the lifespan in mental health settings and general occupational therapy support including the NDIS space since 2021.

“I love working with children and their supports to collaborate on working towards goals and navigating challenges together. My approach focuses on building on foundation skills that contribute towards building independence.”

Emily

Occupational Therapist

Emily is a dedicated occupational therapist with a passion for helping individuals achieve their fullest potential. With multiple years’ experience in the NDIS space, Emily specialises in creating tailored intervention plans that promote independence and improve quality of life. Emily has supported participants with various diagnoses across the lifespan, including adult mental health participants, paediatrics, neurodevelopmental conditions, physical conditions, assistive technology users and many more. Known for a client-centred approach and a commitment to ongoing professional development, Emily is dedicated to empowering clients through innovative and evidence-based practices.

Madeline

Occupational Therapist

Madeline is a Generalist Occupational Therapist with broad experience across the lifespan, underpinned by a clinical background in neurological upper limb rehabilitation following stroke and TBI, as well as in mental health. Her practice is grounded in a neuro-affirming approach, especially when working with neurodivergent clients, including those with ASD and ADHD, and she is deeply committed to providing inclusive, affirming care for LGBTQI+ individuals.

Madeline brings a high level of expertise in functional capacity assessments and is known for her ability to produce clear, outcomes-focused reports that support robust NDIS applications and successful outcomes in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) process. She is particularly skilled at articulating the link between function, support needs, and goals in a way that informs effective planning and advocacy.

Jordan Dunstone –

Occupational Therapist

Jordan is an early career Occupational Therapist having graduated from Australian Catholic University in 2024. Jordan has a broad interest in all areas of practice, including physical disability, psychosocial disability, aged care and First Nations health. Stemming from her 5 years of experience as a Support Worker, Jordan firmly believes in putting the FUN in functional and enjoys finding creative solutions to everyday problems.

Based out of our Brisbane office, Jordan employs a collaborative, evidence-based approach, producing holistic and client-centred results. Outside of OT, you can find Jordan trying new recipes in the kitchen, reading or hanging out with her cats.

Katrina

Senior Occupational Therapist & Team Leader

Katrina Scheiwe has worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 18 years and over this time has worked across various fields, such as community and residential aged care, occupational rehabilitation/return-to-work services, vocational rehabilitation and hand therapy.

Possessing skills and experience in WorkCover Qld insurance system and the aged-care sector, Katrina is passionate about assisting people reach their occupational/ functional goals, whether it’s to maximise independence in activities of daily living, successfully participate in hobbies/leisure activities, or returning to employment.

Kasia Barnett – Occupational Therapist

Based in our Gold Coast office, Kasia is an Occupational Therapist with a passion for community work and is experienced in servicing regional communities, supporting school-aged children and those with sensory processing difficulties of all ages. She strives to support paediatric participants and their families through trauma-informed, culturally safe, neuro-affirmative and family-centred practice.

Working predominantly with adults, she thrives on tailoring her expertise to meet her client’s unique needs. 

Whether adjusting to a new diagnosis, recovering from a debilitating injury, or seeking ways to enhance daily life, Penny is committed to empowering her clients to make choices that will help them live their best life.

Simon

Senior Occupational Therapist & Team Leader

Based in our Toowoomba office, Simon has a Bachelor’s in Occupational Therapy (honours), a master’s degree in Advanced Occupational Therapy, and has been practicing since 2010. Simon’s clinical interest is working with adults with psychosocial mental health needs and has experience working across various mental health settings in the UK. Simon has been working in the NDIS since 2021.

Simon Burgess – Occupational Therapist

Cameron

Lead Principal Clinician, Behaviour Support

Cameron is an AHPRA Registered Psychologist who has worked in private practice and public settings, providing behaviour support to NDIS participants presenting with complex needs and extreme risk. Cameron’s extensive experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and workplace fitness have also assisted stakeholders providing support to vulnerable individuals. Cameron is clinical lead for the behaviour support team, providing supervision and tailored mentoring.

Cameron emphasises the importance of working collaboratively and making sure that everyone is on the same page before working out a plan together. “As a Registered Psychologist, I recognise that we are all prone to fall into unhelpful thinking, and I enjoy helping others find freedom in more grounded and realistic ways of approaching life.”
