Caitlin, Jasmin and Bianca have successfully completed the ClearSky Allied Health Graduate Program, marking an important milestone in their early careers as allied health professionals.
Occupational Therapists Caitlin and Bianca, alongside Provisional Psychologist Jasmin, have spent the past six months developing their clinical skills, building confidence in practice and supporting clients across a range of settings.
As they reach this milestone, we're taking the opportunity to celebrate their achievements and reflect on their experiences as early career clinicians.
Caitlin's experience
For Caitlin, the graduate program provided a strong foundation as she transitioned from university into professional practice.
Reflecting on her experience, Caitlin said: "Completing the graduate program has been a valuable experience and has supported my transition from a student to a fully fledged practicing occupational therapist. The program provided a strong foundation for developing my clinical reasoning, confidence and professional skills."
During her first six months with ClearSky, Caitlin has gained experience conducting assessments, delivering early childhood intervention, completing Functional Capacity Assessments and working alongside a range of stakeholders to support clients with complex needs.
One of the highlights has been building meaningful relationships with clients and families while seeing the positive impact of that work over time.
Jasmin's experience
Starting practice as a Provisional Psychologist can feel like a big step, and Jasmin says the structure and support provided through the graduate program made that transition easier.
"Starting as a Provisional Psychologist can be daunting, but the graduate program provided a supportive and structured introduction to practice. Regular supervision, frequent check-ins, and a gradual increase in responsibility helped me build confidence without feeling overwhelmed," Jasmin said.
Jasmin also valued the opportunity to work alongside clinicians from different disciplines, developing an appreciation for collaborative practice early in her career.
She highlighted the consistent support available throughout the program and the encouragement to take on new challenges at a manageable pace.
Bianca's experience
For Bianca, the relationships she built during the graduate program were one of the most valuable aspects of her experience.
Bianca told us: "The ClearSky Graduate Program provided a supportive environment that enabled me to develop my skills and knowledge at an appropriate pace, while also allowing me the time to build meaningful relationships with both my clients and the ClearSky Allied Health team."
Bianca also spoke about the value of the graduate buddy system, which connected her with a clinician who had recently completed the program themselves.
Alongside clinical supervision, this additional support helped her build confidence as she transitioned into professional practice.
She particularly appreciated the opportunity to explore areas of clinical interest while gradually developing experience across the broader responsibilities of her role, including navigating the NDIS, strengthening clinical reasoning and producing evidence-based reports.
Looking ahead
The success of our graduate program extends beyond graduation itself. We're proud that two previous graduates have continued their careers with ClearSky and are now working with us in their second year, helping strengthen the supportive and collaborative culture that makes the program possible.
